Job Summary
Sell tickets for events using the venue's computerized ticketing system and open/close ticket windows per established procedures. Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting guests promptly with inquiries regarding events, availability, pricing, seating, and venue information. Process ticket sales accurately while maintaining proper cash-handling procedures, balancing daily drawers, reconciling sales, and submitting documentation for audit. Maintain accurate counts of ticket inventory, process will-call orders, and perform routine clerical duties related to box office operations. Work independently while following policies and customer service standards, supporting other box office functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Six months to one year of customer service, cash handling, retail, hospitality, or related experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to accurately count money and make change
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and ticket transactions
- Ability to enter data accurately into computerized ticketing systems
- Effective verbal communication skills with the ability to answer guest questions professionally
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
- A background check
