Job Summary
Sell tickets for events using the venue's computerized ticketing system, open and close ticket windows, and process sales accurately while maintaining proper cash-handling procedures. Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting guests promptly regarding event information, ticket availability, and seating. Balance daily cash drawers, reconcile sales, maintain ticket inventory, and process will-call orders and telephone reservations. Work independently in the box office environment following established policies, including a flexible schedule covering evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Six months to one year of customer service, cash handling, retail, hospitality, or related experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to accurately count money and make change
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and ticket transactions
- Ability to enter data accurately into computerized ticketing systems
- Effective verbal communication skills with the ability to answer guest questions professionally
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
- A background check
