Job Summary
The role coordinates and implements the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program for Alief ISD, supporting a local designation system to attract and retain teachers in high-need areas. Key duties include communicating with district stakeholders about the TIA designation system, organizing and facilitating meetings with TIA partners and Alief staff, monitoring and analyzing TIA data trends, and presenting updates to various departments, community groups, campuses, and other stakeholders. The position requires maintaining confidentiality, applying reflective practices, and leveraging technology (including Excel) to analyze teacher observation and student growth data to ensure reliable, equitable designation outcomes. Strong collaboration with instructional leadership, communications, IT, and employee relations is expected, along with the ability to tackle problems with resourcefulness and to implement a global vision while focusing on operational details.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of the Texas Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program, including Designation System requirements, statewide guidelines, and procedures
- Knowledge of Alief ISD’s local TIA designation system and implementation processes preferred
- Experience communicating with and presenting to stakeholder groups
- Experience working with groups navigating ambiguity and complexity
- Experience presenting information to large diverse groups
- Experience creating material for informing and marketing
- Strong foundation in mathematics and proficiency in Excel, including use of formulas and data analysis within spreadsheets preferred
- Minimum three (3) years of successful teaching experience in Alief preferred
- Leadership experience (e.g., instructional coach, team lead, department chair, or grade-level leader) preferred
