Job Summary
Coordinate multiple research protocols for the Rheumatology Research team, including patient screening, consent, visit scheduling, and data collection. Manage study logistics, maintain binders, prepare for site visits, and liaise between patients, specialists, and industry sponsors. Submit IRB modifications, complete electronic data entry, and conduct quality assurance audits while ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice and HIPAA guidelines. Schedule is flexible Monday through Friday with hybrid options dictated by patient needs and PI availability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (4 yr)/No Experience
- Associate's (2 yr) AND 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Must have excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Must be a self-starter
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to work at a computer for up to four hours at a time
- Ability to move around the campus as needed for research studies and meetings
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with major courses in the field of research
- Prior research experience in a university setting
- Prior clinical research experience in a complex health system or university setting
- Basic clinical examination & vital signs assessment
- Phlebotomy training
- Familiarity with health record and research database systems
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Outlook, and Excel)
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Meticulous detail to data and study procedures
- Ability to prioritize work demands and trouble shoot
- Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment
