Job Summary
Sweep, dust, and mop assigned areas while maintaining daily facility cleanliness. Vacuum, extract carpets, and strip or wax floors. Remove trash, recycle, and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms. Polish entryways, wash windows, and clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, glass, counters, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures. Perform snow and ice removal, wash windows, and clean outside areas within 10 feet of entryways. Complete any other duties directed by the custodial supervisor. This full-time 1st shift role at Pepperdine University requires a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus paid time off, are included.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Background check
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push and pull
- Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pound on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to work with various temperatures extreme from hot to cold
- Ability to work Thursday to Monday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail
- Team focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction
