Job Summary
Conduct weekly site inspections at Transitional Living Properties to verify resident compliance with House Rules and Extended Supervision terms, including monitoring property limits, household maintenance, lawn care, visitation policies, and contraband-free environments. Verify adequate food supplies, stock appropriate items, and collect and secure property for residents discharged within 24 hours. Create electronic reports from observations, complete incident logs for rule violations, and record daily summaries of resident interactions, consequences, and suicide watch issues. Maintain thorough knowledge of offender histories to assist in comprehensive community supervision and hold accountability to the TLP Director through regular consultations and departmental meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of offender criminal, family, mental health, employment, and substance abuse histories
- Ability to complete inspection of physical space to ensure residents are in compliance with House Rules and Extended Supervision terms set by the Department of Corrections (DOC)
- Ability to verify residents are within property limits
- Ability to perform household maintenance
- Ability to participate in lawn care and snow removal responsibilities
- Ability to enforce visitation policies
- Ability to ensure non-possession of contraband
- Ability to maintain a drug, alcohol, and crime-free living environment
- Ability to ensure appropriate supplies are stocked
- Ability to create electronic reports based on observations for each site check
- Ability to meet with Program Director on a regular basis via phone, video conferencing, or in-person to report on on-going TLP operations
- Ability to complete incident reports on all program rule or law violations
- Ability to record daily summaries of resident interactions, resident consequences issued, suicide watch and related issues in communication log
- Ability to complete site check log each day to include exact time of all site checks and whether there was face-to-face contact with offender(s) during each checks
- Ability to assist Director in ensuring residents are maintaining sufficient food items for three meals per day
- Ability to collect, inventory, and secure property of residents who are unsuccessfully discharged within 24 hours of such discharge
- Ability to hold accountability to TLP Director
- Ability to conduct individual consultations, in services, departmental meetings, and as-needed when requested by the DOC
