Job Summary
Senior Thoracic Surgeon sought to lead program development and clinical excellence within Catholic Health’s thoracic surgery department. The role focuses on advanced thoracic surgical care including pulmonary, mediastinal, and foregut procedures; leadership and mentorship of junior faculty; collaboration with system leadership to expand services; and driving quality improvement and innovation initiatives across the health system. The successful candidate will work closely with the Department Chair to shape growth strategies and mentor a high-performing surgical team in a physician-led culture.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Thoracic Surgery Fellowship
- Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery (ABMS-recognized board)
- Active (or eligible) New York State medical license and DEA
- Minimum 5 years of clinical thoracic surgery experience
