Job Summary
Oversees total store operations in the absence of the Store Director and Assistant Store Director, primarily during closing shifts. Works with the ASD on center-of-store operations, covers for days off, and supervises the late shift to ensure smooth day-to-day activities. Manages customer service, coaching and training of new employees, hiring needs/interviews, merchandising execution, and execution of company policies. Builds and executes marketing/merchandising plans, coordinates with late shift leads, and supports safe, efficient store operations. Requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and four+ years of retail experience; strong customer service, supervisory, and leadership abilities; excellent written and verbal communication; initiative, teamwork, and the ability to work flexible hours, with travel none.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Four or more years retail experience required
- Retail grocery experience preferred
- Proficient customer service and supervisory skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Leadership skills
- Available to work flexible hours (am/pm shifts)
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to be friendly, courteous, tactful, and maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers
- Requires the analytical ability to handle administrative details such as planning, reporting, meeting operational objectives, scheduling, and supervising
- Requires the ability to judge and react to business activity
- Requires knowledge of basic math and weights and measures
