Job Summary
Oversee and coordinate total store operations in the absence of the Store Director and Assistant Store Director, with primary responsibility for closing shifts. Lead and supervise staff, support hiring/interview processes, and assist with merchandising and policy implementation. Serve as liaison for late-shift operations, drive customer service excellence, train and develop Head Clerks/PICs, and support the Store Director in daily operational planning, scheduling, and execution. Ensure safety culture and adherence to company policies while managing day-to-day activities, inventory tasks, and merchandising execution.
Required Qualifications
- Education Level: High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience Level: Four or more years retail experience required
- Retail grocery experience preferred
- Proficient customer service and supervisory skills
- Strong understanding of overall store operations
- Strong written and oral communication skills, leadership skills
- Available to work flexible hours (am/pm shifts)
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to be friendly, courteous, tactful, and maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers
- Requires the analytical ability to handle administrative details such as planning, reporting, meeting operational objectives, scheduling, and supervising
- Requires the ability to judge and react to business activity
- Requires knowledge of basic math and weights and measures
