Job Summary
Conduct total store operations, supervise all employees, and manage customer complaints when the Store Director and Assistant Store Director are absent. Administer mandatory training to new hires, coordinate hiring needs, and oversee ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, stocking, and merchandising duties. Direct late shift activities, execute marketing plans, and support store standards and safety initiatives. Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Four or more years retail experience required
- Proficient customer service and supervisory skills
- Strong understanding of overall store operations
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Leadership skills
- Ability to get along with others
- High degree of initiative and sense of urgency
- Available to work flexible hours (am/pm shifts)
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to be friendly, courteous, tactful, and maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers
- Analytical ability to handle administrative details such as planning, reporting, meeting operational objectives, scheduling, and supervising
- Ability to judge and react to business activity
- Knowledge of basic math and weights and measures
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to approximately 55 lbs
- Ability to push and pull fully loaded hand trucks and pallet jacks
- Must sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Workday is fast paced; holiday, evening and weekend work may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Retail grocery experience preferred
