Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Manager – GM Defense

Job Summary
Oversee strategic management of external logistics providers to support defense programs, driving performance, compliance, and end-to-end logistics (warehousing, transportation, kitting, and distribution) with a focus on secure material handling and regulatory adherence. Act as the primary interface between GM Defense cross-functional teams and 3PL partners to ensure contractual obligations, service levels, and continuous improvement. Lead KPI-driven reviews, safeguard inventory integrity across off-site locations, and partner with internal teams to sustain material flow for production schedules. Earned authority to identify risk, reduce cost where feasible, and lead digital-automation initiatives to enhance visibility and control of material movements. Travel to off-site locations as needed; onsite reporting to the GM Defense Production Facility in Concord, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years relevant experience in logistics/supply chain
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, transportation, and distribution networks
- Experience in regulated environments or with compliance-driven processes
- Experience managing supplier performance and driving KPI-based accountability
- Willing to travel and make trips to off-site locations as assigned
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee) or non-U.S. Person eligible to obtain export control authorization
- Ability to work onsite at the GM Defense facility in Concord, NC and collaborate with cross-functional teams
