Job Summary
Investigate, evaluate, and resolve third-party liability claims involving bodily injury, property damage, commercial auto, trucking, and business insurance policies. Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and medical providers; coordinate with defense counsel, mediators, and TPAs; review police reports, medical records, and other documents to determine liability and settlement exposure; manage litigated claims, advise on reserves and settlement strategies, and participate in mediations, depositions, and trials as needed. Maintain detailed electronic claim documentation and collaborate with internal teams on claim strategy and litigation management.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience handling third-party liability claims, bodily injury claims, and property damage claims
- Experience handling litigated claims and working directly with attorneys, mediators, and legal teams
- Experience managing commercial auto, trucking, transportation, or business liability claims
- Knowledge of insurance coverage analysis, liability determination, claim investigation, and settlement negotiation
- Understanding of state-specific claim handling regulations and insurance policy interpretation
- Experience working with Third Party Administrators (TPAs)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
