Job Summary
Supervise sales staff, stockers, and cashiers while maintaining uniform standards and driving overall store profitability. Manage bank deposits, open and close the store, and respond to after-hours alarm calls. Train team members on operational disciplines, TABC compliance, and safety expectations. Resolve guest complaints, verify till reconciliation, and ensure accurate daily transaction records. Walk the store daily to review pricing, verify price tags, clean displays, and address trip hazards. Assist in hiring, inventory preparation, and discipline applications with guidance from management. Maintain favorable working relationships to promote productivity and morale.
Required Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience
- Completion of the MIT program
- Associate degree or higher
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information from emails, business journals, and governmental regulations
- Ability to effectively write for business purposes
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, team members, and support staff
- Bilingual skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in both whole numbers and in fractions and decimals
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
- Ability to solve practical workplace issues and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or electronic form
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit
- Valid Food Handlers or Food Managers Permit
- Age of 21 or older
- Unlimited or minimally limited availability during all business hours
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend regularly
- Ability to use arms, hands, and fingers to feel, handle, reach, and lift
- Ability to climb and balance
- Ability to talk and hear
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds or more occasionally using proper lifting techniques and tools
- Ability to push and/or pull 50-100 pounds or more occasionally
- Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Physical attendance based on a schedule made by the Store Manager and District Manager which may vary week to week based on the needs of the business
