Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in core academic subject areas to support their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies for successful societal function while instructing students and managing classroom behavior. Deliver curriculum-aligned instruction in science and social studies for third-grade learners. Requires a Bachelor's degree, valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements, and at least one year of student teaching or approved internship. ESL endorsement is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate, with required endorsements for subject/level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Knowledge of core academic subjects assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
