Job Summary
The Think Big Intern – Heavy Equipment program offers a two-year associate degree path combining education and paid work experience at Yancey Bros. Co. Interns will alternate between classroom learning focused on Diesel, Electronics, and Hydraulics, and hands-on practical experience in a real working environment. Candidates must maintain a ‘B’ average, demonstrate mechanical aptitude, and embody values of safety, integrity, teamwork, excellence, and urgency. Successful interns will have the opportunity to transition into full-time roles with Yancey Bros. Co. after graduation.
Required Qualifications
- Meet the admission requirements to attend South Georgia Technical College
- Mechanical aptitude (having the desire and skill to work with mechanical concepts)
- Enjoys 'hands-on' challenging work
- Enjoys a fast paced work environment
- Have good work habits (shown by achieving acceptable grades and attendance in High School)
- Have a good moral foundation
Additional Requirements
- Students must gain a ‘sponsorship’ from one of the participating Caterpillar Dealers to attend
- Payment for the college courses will be the sole responsibility of the student
