Job Summary
As a Think Big Intern – Heavy Equipment, you will participate in a two-year specialized program alternating between South Georgia Technical College and Yancey Bros. Co. This internship offers hands-on experience with Diesel, Electronics, and Hydraulics, leading to an Associate Degree in Applied Technology. Candidates will need a high school diploma and must meet admission requirements for the technical college while maintaining a 'B' average. Ideal candidates should possess mechanical skills and a strong work ethic, enjoy working with their hands, and be eager to learn.
Required Qualifications
- Meet the admission requirements to attend South Georgia Technical College
- Mechanical aptitude (having the desire and skill to work with mechanical concepts)
- Enjoys ‘hands-on’ challenging work
- Enjoys a fast paced work environment
- Have good work habits (shown by achieving acceptable grades and attendance in High School)
- Have a good moral foundation
Additional Requirements
- Students must gain a ‘sponsorship’ from one of the participating Caterpillar Dealers to attend the program.
