Job Summary

Entry-level Thermal Spray Set-Up Technician responsible for supporting thermal spray operations through part preparation, masking, and surface preparation (grit blasting) on turbine engine components. Duties include following safety protocols, masking components, grit blasting to specified surface finishes, reviewing router/operational sketches, preparing parts for spraying, and assisting operators. Training will be provided via computer-based and hands-on programs to develop the necessary skills. Prior reading of shop drawings, basic computer literacy, and ability to use hand tools are beneficial; strong attention to detail and good communication are required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school or technical school graduate or equivalent
  • Reading and interpreting shop drawings and diagrams or demonstrated ability to learn
  • Experience in manufacturing setting with attention to detail and technical aptitude helpful
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
