Thermal Mechanical Engineering Team Lead

Job Summary
Oversee the technical design process for Direct Liquid Cooling products, managing team workload and prioritizing tasks to ensure timely project execution. Collaborate with external partners, customers, and suppliers to drive continuous improvement and adopt best-in-class technologies while maintaining Engineering's ownership of design standards. Define cross-functional roles and escalation paths with other departments, acting as the point of contact for design standards and workflows. Lead the team through the full New Product Introduction lifecycle, from concept to mass production, while fostering a culture that attracts and retains top talent. Manage departmental plans and budgets, ensuring alignment across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar Engineering disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of thermal design and fluid dynamics concepts
- Deep understanding of mechanical design and engineering, including mechanism analysis, GD&T, FEA, DFM, DFMEA, PLM, thermal simulation, testing and validation
- Strong understanding of the New Product Introduction process, with proven experience managing hardware development through the full product lifecycle from concept, prototyping, verification, validation, and production transfer through to mass production
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of people management and/or technical leadership experience (managing or supervising engineering teams)
- Experience with high-volume production for industrial products
- Possess P.Eng designation or similar professional credentials
