Job Summary
Support thermal analysis and design of satellite platforms and payloads by developing thermal mathematical models and performing steady-state and transient simulations using Siemens Simcenter 3D and Space Systems Thermal Solver. Assist in designing spacecraft thermal control systems including MLI, radiators, and heaters while supporting thermal vacuum testing, data analysis, and model correlation. Prepare technical documentation and develop automation scripts to streamline post-processing of simulation results. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle. This six-month internship offers a high-performance environment with potential conversion to a full-time role based on performance.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recent graduates in bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, Aerospace, Thermal, Space Engineering, or a related discipline
- Fundamental knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to spacecraft thermal engineering concepts and thermal analysis tools is preferred
- Familiarity with Simcenter 3D (Space Systems Thermal), MATLAB Simulink or similar thermal simulation software is an advantage
- Familiarity with any CAD software
