Job Summary
Thermal Engineer at Vertiv accountable for leading conceptual and detailed design of thermal and ventilation systems for power modules, IT infrastructure, and data-center environments. Responsibilities include HVAC design, cable management, fire suppression layouts, equipment layouts, and general arrangements; ensuring compliance with codes and budget; reviewing mechanical submittals; delivering SD/DD/CD narratives; performing thermal transfer calculations and CFD analyses; coordinating with integration teams and vendors; producing detailed mechanical drawings and material specifications; supporting on-site integration and commissioning; and engaging with customers to tailor optimal cooling solutions while driving cost efficiency and reliability through innovative designs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of Mechanical Engineering experience
- Knowledge of local, state, & federal building codes governing modular/transportable buildings
- Proficiency with AutoDesk AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications
- Clear ability to interpret customer specification requirements
- Strong communication skills
