Job Summary
Thermal Engineer responsible for thermal analysis and validation of thermal technologies for Samsung advanced semiconductor products. Develop reduced-order thermal models and rapid thermal analysis methods to guide architecture and development of memory products; execute high-fidelity thermal analysis and data validation at component and system levels; provide rapid steady-state and transient simulation solutions; collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to resolve complex thermal challenges. On-site in San Jose, CA, with a focus on on-site work environment and delivering rigorous milestones in a fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related Physical Science) with 5+ years of experience or Master’s degree Mechanical Engineering (or related Physical Science) with 3+ years of experience
- Fundamental understanding of IC chip/package architectures and thermal design constraints (preferred)
- Working experience in SiP (System in Package) thermal analysis (preferred)
- PhD degree in Thermal Engineering (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of direct industry experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence applications (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Thermal Engineering fundamentals
- Expertise in FloTHERM and familiarity with other CFD tools
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
