Job Summary
Conduct preliminary engineering for products sold by providing technical quote reviews to the Sales team. Size shell and tube heat exchangers meeting customer process conditions and verify proposed designs to optimize flow velocities, fouling, and vibration-free performance. Coordinate with ENC or Refinery Process Engineers for additional data and propose alternate designs to ease fabrication or reduce end-user costs. Review RFQ packages to ensure scope alignment and provide material and fabrication time estimates via in-house software run sheets. This role requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and 15 years of thermal engineering experience in custom shell and tube heat exchanger design. Candidates must possess strong knowledge of ASME VIII Div. 1, TEMA, and industry standards, along with proficiency in HTRI and Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited university or equivalent industry related supervisory experience.
- 15 years Thermal Engineering experience in custom shell and tube heat exchanger design & fabrication industry.
- Strong knowledge of ASME VIII Div. 1 design & construction, TEMA, and other industry standards (API, PIP, Engineering Practices, etc.).
- Ability to communicate technical requirements to Sales team during the quote stages.
- Proficiency in the following tools: HTRI, Microsoft Office
- Must be able to sit, lift, stand, push, and pull up to 20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of RCS or COMPRESS software a plus.
