Job Summary
Develop and optimize the thermal design for spacecraft avionics and electromechanical subsystems; build and operate a thermal modelling toolchain to guide design trades down to component level; develop testing systems that validate in-space component and thermal control system performance (TVAC and thermal cycling); guide material selection for components; collaborate with other system designers to manage overall spacecraft thermal performance.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience modelling heat transfer with numerical methods with provably accurate results
- Experience validating simulation results with TVAC and thermal cycle testing for space hardware
- Experience designing thermal management systems for spacecraft. Full cycle from simulation to hardware functionality
