Thermal & Cooling Liquid Engineer (SME)
Remote · United States
Job Summary
Lead technical strategy for industrial liquid cooling systems, including deployment, commissioning, optimization, and lifecycle management of large-scale cooling infrastructures (direct-to-chip, cold-plate, immersion). Act as a subject-matter expert for valves, pumps, VFD controls, piping hydraulics, and control logic with automation teams (PLC/BMS). Support end-to-end liquid-cooled rack deployments, provide project-management support, and lead root-cause analysis of thermal/fluid incidents to reduce MTTR. Develop maintenance protocols, SOPs, MOPs, and training for water treatment and safe operation. Role involves hands-on work, remote position with up to 75% travel to Rockdale, TX site, and requires 7+ years in industrial cooling or related infrastructure; preferred backgrounds in Mechanical, Fluid, or Systems Engineering with Bachelor's or Master's degrees. Competency in thermal theory, data-driven troubleshooting, and reading schematics/P&IDs; experience with hyperscale data-center cooling is strongly preferred.
