Job Summary
Manage daily operations of assigned therapy centers, including program planning, policy implementation, and clinical supervision of therapists and administrative associates. Provide discipline-specific treatment for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders, developing Individualized Treatment Plans and ensuring compliance with program guidelines. Conduct evaluations, documentation reviews, and training sessions while guaranteeing participant safety and selecting new associates. Partner with interdisciplinary teams to deliver consultation and coach families on skill integration. Remain current on autism research and trends to evaluate program needs and implement updated services.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in occupational therapy, physical therapy, or speech language pathology
- Must possess and maintain a current state or national certification and/or licensure in accordance with California state practice
- Must possess and maintain a current CPR certification
- 3 years' experience with infant/young children with disabilities, including autism
- At least 2 years of prior supervisory experience
- Knowledgeable in licensed area of practice
- Knowledgeable in interdisciplinary early intervention theories
- Knowledgeable in rehabilitation principles and practices
- Knowledgeable of evidence-based practices found to benefit children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
- Familiar with the field of early intervention including a general understanding of approaches based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Ability to maintain positive customer interaction and professionalism
- Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups
- Demonstrated ability to interact well with children and their families
- Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures and regulations
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive situations and documentation
- Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision making skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, Skype, etc.) and related software applications
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and a TB test
- Ability to provide proof of required vaccinations or positive titer showing immunity
- Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements
- Ability to travel locally
- Maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards
- Maintain auto insurance and vehicle registration
- Ability to bend, reach, squat, kneel, and twist to observe, assess and interact with participants
- Ability to speak, listen to clients, staff, and other professionals in meetings and on the telephone
- Ability to work in an environment with adequate lighting and temperatures with no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
