Job Summary
Oversees day-to-day management of the department and provides clinical and technical support to assigned staff. Coordinates workflow, staffing patterns, program development, inventory control, and reporting of metrics per federal regulations. Plans and conducts discipline-specific treatment programs per state practice act, leads staff education and continuing education initiatives, participates in research and professional writing, mentors new staff, delegates tasks based on competency, maintains department productivity, and ensures proper documentation and compliance. Requires a Bachelor's in healthcare or related field, BLS certification, and current state licensure for the applicable therapy discipline; travel between facilities is anticipated.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Licensed physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapist, occupational therapist assistant, or speech-language pathologist current in state of practice
- 1 year of clinical experience in specialty area
