Job Summary
Therapy Services Specialist (Bilingual Spanish) provides telephonic/virtual assessments and collaborative recommendations to support home or community-based services under the guidance of an occupational or physical therapy team. Responsibilities include identifying participant needs, advising on hours/type of supportive services, conducting annual or more frequent assessments, educating participants and MCO representatives on options for home modifications and adaptive equipment, assisting with equipment/service recommendations, documenting encounters, and coordinating with the clinical/support teams. Requires a college-level program completion in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or PTA/OTA credentials with at least 2 years of relevant healthcare/social services experience; current PTA/OTA license; and fluent Spanish. Hybrid remote/work arrangement with at least weekly in-person onsite presence as part of Elevance Health’s Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a college-level program in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or an accredited two-year program for a Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in social service or health care field
- Current active, valid and unrestricted license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist Assistant in the applicable state
- Certification and/or licensure appropriate to field of specialty as required
- Bilingual Spanish required
