Job Summary
Therapy Services Specialist (Bilingual Spanish) works under the guidance of an occupational therapist to support aging-in-place individuals receiving home or community-based services. The role involves telephonic/virtual assessments to identify participant needs, providing recommendations to the MCO for required services, conducting assessments to determine appropriate support levels, gathering participant history, educating participants and MCO representatives on options for home modifications, DME, assistive technology, and other adaptive equipment, and collaborating with the clinical team to report observations and outcomes. Requires a college-level program in physical therapy or occupational therapy (or PTA/OTA two-year program), a valid PTA/OTA license, and bilingual Spanish proficiency. Hybrid/virtual work model with in-person training sessions, vaccine requirements for certain roles, and Elevance Health's workplace policies. Required Qualifications
- Requires graduate of a college level program in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or an accredited two-year program for a Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist Assistant
- minimum of 2 years’ experience in social service or health care field
- Current active, valid and unrestricted license or certification as a physical therapist assistant or occupational therapist assistant in applicable state required
- Certification and/or licensure appropriate to field of specialty as required
- Bilingual Spanish Required
