Job Summary
Therapy Quality Coordinator—Upper Extremity coordinates and advances outpatient PT/OT therapy quality initiatives across locations, serving as a leader and mentor in curriculum development and evidence-based practice. The role targets orthopedic populations of the upper/lower extremities, leads education delivery and staff development, monitors performance with data-driven quality improvement, collaborates with physicians and education specialists on protocols and return-to-sport testing, and ensures safe, high-quality patient care across locations. Requires graduate PT/OT training, Nebraska/Iowa state licensure, BLS, advanced certifications, and 3+ years of outpatient experience, with strong communication, project management, and team leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved physical therapy or occupational therapy program
- Current and valid license in the state of Nebraska and/or Iowa (PT or OT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire
- Advanced Certifications/Training such as OCS, SCS, FAAOMPT, CHT, Cert MDT, NIOMPT, PRC or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience as a physical or occupational therapist in an outpatient setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and mentoring abilities across multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to supervise and develop education programs and curricula
- Experience with data collection, performance measurement, and quality improvement tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate department orientation, and support competency development
