Job Summary
Provide patient and resident care under direct supervision of the Therapy Director, ensuring timely, efficient, and safe outcomes. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary health team while utilizing analytical skills to develop outcome-driven solutions. Maintain proficiency in departmental administration, payer documentation, and equipment usage across outpatient, assisted living, or long-term care settings. Prior experience in hospital or skilled nursing environments is preferred, along with EMR familiarity and CPR certification. Required Qualifications
- A graduate of an approved education course for occupational therapy assistants
- Licensed, if applicable, in the state in which they will be practicing
- Must not be excluded or sanctioned from state or federal program
- Must be in good standing on the State registry or appropriate entity
- Ability to meet physical and job-related requirements
- Must be English literate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in the practice of their discipline
- Display working knowledge of multidisciplinary practice scopes in the Outpatient, ALF, ILF or LTC setting
- Thorough knowledge of all payer source documentation and payment requirements
- Ability to use analytical skills to develop outcome driven solutions
- Prior EMR/computer experience
