Job Summary
Oversee the rehabilitation department to ensure resident needs are met while aligning with company financial goals and adhering to federal and state regulations. Assign patient scheduling and delegate responsibilities to staff, coordinate departmental functions, and communicate with facility administration regarding goals, risks, and achievements. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings including utilization review, quality assurance, resident care conferences, and community education planning. Ensure timely MDS reporting, oversee accurate billing and documentation, and apply relevant billing models and treatment guidelines to deliver clinically appropriate care. Maintain a valid state license, adhere to infection control protocols, and ensure compliance with the state practice act.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a degree in Physical Therapy, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- (2) years of experience as a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Maintain a valid state license (as applicable)
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and documentation
- Maintain confidentiality as appropriate and ensure compliance with the state practice act in the state(s) where you are licensed.
