Therapy Aide

Perform patient-related tasks assigned by therapists, including lifting patients to/from mats, treatment tables, wheelchairs, and equipment. Assist patients with transfers to all surfaces, donning and doffing appliances, and positioning in parallel bars for standing with orthotic or prosthetic devices. Transport patients to therapy sessions and prepare for treatment activities by setting up equipment and positioning patients as outlined in the State Practice. Requires a high school diploma and current BLS certification; one year of hospital therapy aide experience is preferred.
