Job Summary
Lift patients to/from mats, treatment tables, wheelchairs, and equipment. Assist with transfer activities, donning/doffing appliances, and positioning in parallel bars. Transport patients to therapy and prepare them for standing with orthotic/prosthetic devices. Support therapists with treatment activities, equipment setup, and patient positioning per the State Practice Act. Maintain department and equipment cleanliness. Requires a high school diploma, current State Driver's License, and Class E license for shuttle bus operation. Full-time Monday-Friday 8:00A-4:30P schedule at $18/hour. SSM Health Day Institute serves individuals recovering from traumatic injury or illness across the St. Louis Metro area.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current State Driver's License in good standing
- Class E license allowing for the operation of the shuttle bus
Desired Qualifications
- CPR certification
- First aid certification
- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy center
