Job Summary
Execute treatment programs directed by supervising therapists or the Director of Rehab, including assisting patients with preparation, dressing, appliance application, and ambulation. Transport patients to and from therapy spaces, support activities of daily living, and perform housekeeping duties to maintain the treatment area. Complete assigned clerical tasks, organize equipment, and adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards while lifting and transferring patients. Work 80-90% of the time standing or walking, with 10-20% sitting for data entry. High school education required; health care experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications

- Must be able to comprehend verbal instruction
- Must be able to perform basic math tasks
- Must be able to write
- Must be able to perform keyboard and computer tasks at a level necessary to accomplish this job
- Verbal communication skills at a level necessary to accomplish this job
- High school education
- Must be able to lift and transfer patients to and from all surfaces a minimum of 10 times per day
- Must be able to lift approximately 50-70 pounds a minimum of 10 times per day
- A Rehab Aide spends 80-90% of time standing/walking
- A Rehab Aide spends 10-20% of time sitting
- Proficient with use of hands for repetitive grasping, pushing-pulling, and fine motor manipulation
- Exhibits good visual acuity skills
- Able to bend, reach, climb, kneel (60-80% of day)
- Must be able to perform CPR, if required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the health care field is a plus
