Job Summary
Therapy Aide/Hospital Assistant supports Harborview Medical Center’s Rehab Therapies by assisting therapy staff across physical, occupational, speech, and therapeutic recreation services. Responsibilities include managing equipment and supply inventory, assisting in clinical tasks such as record retrieval, filing, faxing, arranging interpreter services, and charge preparation, and providing direct patient care during treatments (ADLs, exercise, ambulation, positioning, safety). The role requires maintenance of a safe clinical environment, setup and transfer of patients/equipment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Requires Nursing Assistant-Registered (NAR) with WA, and HCP Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Day-shift, 40 hours/week, 100% FTE, Seattle, WA.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing Assistant-Registered (NAR) with the State of Washington
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience
- Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire
