Job Summary
Conduct therapeutic sessions utilizing evidence-based interventions with children and adults, assessing behavioral health needs and administering standardized testing to develop treatment goals every 180 days. Schedule therapy sessions, obtain consents, and perform chart reviews to ensure clinical assessments and treatment plans remain current. Provide crisis assessment and intervention, including arranging for emergency psychiatric evaluations, while maintaining comprehensive clinical records and progress notes using appropriate billing codes. Diagnose utilizing ICD-10, DC-0-5, and DSM-5-TR criteria, and meet productivity standards set for the position. Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and meetings to maintain clinical competency and model professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related behavioral health field eligible for licensure by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health with two years related experience (BHT)
- Associate license in social work, counseling, marriage and family, or substance abuse recognized by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (BHP)
- Permanent associate level licensure with AZBBHE
- Permanent independent level licensure with AZBBHE
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- At least 21 years of age
- Current, unrestricted AZ driver's license with no more than two (2) minor moving violations or one (1) accident within the past three (3) years
- Three (3) years of driving experience
- Transportation for daily visits, to attend trainings, and perform other work-related activities
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check prior to employment and regular checks for the duration of the employment
- Ability to obtain and maintain an AZ DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance card
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Satisfactorily Completed Competency Checklist within 3 months of hire
- Strong clinical knowledge of development across the life span
- Knowledge of best practices when working with diverse populations with trauma backgrounds
- Extensive knowledge of managed care systems, AHCCCS/Title XIX medical assistance screening, and ADHS policies and practices
- Knowledge and understanding of the current DSM and relevant diagnosis for the population served
- Ability to accurately read, record and interpret information, including assessments, measures, and diagnostic criteria
- Clinical competency in accordance with standards for the position

- Possess a high level of computer proficiency
- Must be able to lift normal office equipment and materials up to 25lbs
- Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms, and to assess the wellbeing of members
- Able to communicate verbally with members and emergency personnel as needed for daily operations
- Hearing ability for communication in persona, phone, and/or other electronic methods
- Manual dexterity for typing and writing
- Able to stoop, squat, reach, pull, push, stretch, ascend and descend stairs, stand and sit for long periods of time
- May be required to work additional hours or days depending on circumstances
