Job Summary
Provide comprehensive delivery of therapeutic counseling to community members in the service area (Uvalde region referenced; position focuses on individuals, families, and groups across ages). Responsibilities include conducting assessments and treatment planning from a Trauma-Informed Lens, completing clinical documentation within 48 hours, participating in clinical staff meetings and professional development, offering field-based services and crisis responsiveness, and engaging in outreach and education. Maintain licensure in good standing (Texas) and competency in trauma-responsive, evidence-based practices (e.g., TF-CBT, ACT, EMDR, DBT, Perinatal Mental Health, Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation). Ensure documentation accuracy, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and participate in on-call rotation as needed. Required: Master’s degree or higher in a behavioral science field, licensure (LPC/LMSW/LCSW/LMFT/AMFT), minimum 1 year trauma/grief counseling experience, reliable transportation, clean driving record, background checks, willingness to work some evenings/weekends, and EHR proficiency. Additional positives include Spanish language ability and faith-based service experience. Travel involvement includes 10-30% local. Located in or serving San Antonio, TX area with related duties and responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or higher in social work, counseling, psychology, or other relevant behavioral science with clinical experience
- LPC, LPC-A, LMFT, AMFT, LMSW or LCSW required
- 1 year experience providing counseling to victims of trauma or grief and loss
- Licensed to provide clinical services in the State of Texas; Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor or experience with Alcohol and Drug Treatment a plus
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to travel 10-30% locally and less than 5% overnight
