Job Summary
Assess and facilitate care for assigned patients while managing case management and treatment planning. Conduct individual, family, specialized, and group psychotherapy, including services such as EMDR and equine therapy, and document all sessions in the medical record. Coordinate discharge planning by contacting family members and outpatient providers, and actively participate in the multidisciplinary treatment team to communicate clinical concerns. Maintain the therapeutic milieu and program schedule, assisting with group materials and didactic lesson plans. Provide on-call coverage as requested and engage in performance improvement activities per licensure requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Behavioral Health or related field
- State licensed
- CPR & First Aid Certified
- CPI Certified
- Valid Drivers License
- Driver Safety Training
- Ability to interact and communicate professionally and appropriately
- Ability to effectively respond to customer requests
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, in a clinically accurate and professional manner
- Ability to inform patients and families of clinical program policies
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years experience in behavioral health field preferred
- Prefer experience working with specialty services (Trauma, Chemical Dependency, Eating Disorders) within a managed care environment
- Prefer two years experience providing Family Therapy, EMDR, sex addiction or other trauma specialist if assigned to conduct specialized therapy
