Job Summary
Assess clinical needs of parents, caregivers, and children at the time of removal by the Department of Children and Families to determine immediate and ongoing service requirements. Provide an immediate response within 48 business hours of the shelter hearing to evaluate children and caregivers for support needs. Complete minimum of 4-6 field sessions, typically in the caregiver's home, conducting clinical assessments, updating treatment plans, and documenting all services provided. Coordinate multi-disciplinary staffing with the case management team within 14 days of the hearing and lead weekly TEAM meetings. Maintain a small caseload of ongoing therapy clients, develop therapeutic relationships, and enter documentation into Florida Safe Families Network and ECr. Collaborate with community partners to ensure services align with the family's case plan and participate in case staffings to discuss progress.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field from an accredited college or university
- Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Florida (LMHC, LCSW or LMFT)
- Clear a Level II background screening
- Clear a reference check (professional and personal)
- Clear a local background check from Duval County and the County in which you reside
- Clear a drug screen
- Clear a Motor Vehicles Records check
- Provide proof of your auto insurance and maintain a minimum personal auto bodily injury liability insurance
- Clear an E-Verify check to substantiate that the successful candidate meets the Department of Homeland Security authorization requirements to work in the United States
