Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate client needs and develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based interventions. Implement relapse prevention strategies, provide crisis intervention for acute distress, and coordinate referrals to higher levels of care such as inpatient programs. Educate clients and families on early warning signs and coping mechanisms while addressing co-occurring mental health disorders and trauma-related issues. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies, including HIPAA regulations. Participate in audits, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives as required. This full-time role operates in a school-based setting with classroom and outdoor supervision responsibilities. Applicants must hold a Master's degree, be licensed in Texas, and possess three years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
- Licensed in Texas as an LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, or equivalent credential
- Three (3) years of full-time work experience in the social services or substance use disorder and/or co-occurring services
- Familiarity in ongoing program of recovery and knowledge of recovery principles
- Valid Texas driver license
- Minimum of six (6) years of driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Twenty-three (23) years of age or older
- Must maintain automobile insurance coverage
- Must be able to travel as needed
- Must be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of Rise Recovery's auto insurance carrier if personal vehicle is driven during company business
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and get on and off the floor without assistance
- Must be able to walk, stand, sit for short or long periods of time
- Must be able to operate standard office technology, equipment and utilize office supplies
- Must be able to work occasional night, weekend and holiday hours
Desired Qualifications
- Personal or family experience with long term recovery
- Experience in public speaking and training public communities
- Knowledge of mental health and related co-existing disorders
- Knowledge of Texas Department of State Health Services rules and regulations pertaining to substance use counseling and treatment
- Knowledge of the appropriate standards of care for chemical dependency recovery services
- Fluent in both verbal and written communication in English and Spanish
