Job Summary
Therapist, Staff Occupational will develop, implement, and coordinate an occupational therapy program for students with disabilities in the educational environment, providing observations, evaluations, and intervention services. The role includes risk analysis, clinical decision-making, applying principles of occupational therapy, and training staff to meet occupational needs under appropriate supervision, within FERPA and IDEA guidelines and the Florida Occupational Therapy Practice Act. Responsibilities include designing OT services, supporting IEPs and Section 504 Plans, supervising OT assistants, documenting services and Medicaid billing, collaborating with school personnel, and traveling to various school sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Active and in good standing Occupational Therapy License issued by the Florida Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance
- Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in areas specific to pediatrics preferred
- Speaks, reads, and writes English fluently
