Job Summary
Conduct evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop personalized intervention programs improving independence in daily tasks. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive device training while educating families on coping strategies and home modifications. Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment approaches as needed. Collaborate with doctors, physical therapists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care. On-call basis with competitive hourly wages ranging from $30 to $60 depending on experience. Current MN OT or COTA license required along with a bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
Required Qualifications
- graduate from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Program and have a bachelor's degree
- current MN Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License
- current Accredited MN Occupational Therapy (OTR) License
- strong knowledge regarding state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care
- capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
- communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required
