Job Summary
Therapist in Johnston, IA providing individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy to facility clients, with virtual sessions under supervision of the Executive Clinical Director. Responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, overseeing daily treatment experiences, maintaining documentation within required timelines, conducting admissions assessments and re-assessments, performing mental status examinations, providing crisis intervention (including 5150 determinations), and applying current professional standards. Must hold LMFT/LCSW/LCDC/LPC licensure (or Board-licensed psychologist/psychological assistant) and have at least two years of relevant experience; position requires working within a supportive team at Quadrant Health Group and Des Moines Wellness in Des Moines/Johnston, IA, with a focus on evidence-based care and client outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Must have Master or Doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling or social science.
- Licensed or registered as an LMFT, LCSW, LCDC, or LPC; or by the Board of Psychology as a Licensed Psychologist or Psychological Assistant.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from mental illness and/or substance abuse.
- Criminal Background and pre-employment drug screen clearance required.
- Health Screen required.
