Job Summary
Deliver short-term, evidence-based psychotherapy to Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, Reservists, and their families, focusing on individual, couples, and family modalities. Conduct clinical intake assessments, perform psychosocial screenings, and document progress and referral information. Collaborate with caregivers, physicians, case management, and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive care. Attend weekly clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings. Requires a Master's degree in social work, LCSW/LPC/LMFT licensure, and TRICARE certification. Schedule includes Wednesdays until 7pm. Salary commensurate with GS 12 ($84,000-$87,000).
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work
- Ability to obtain and maintain license to independently practice as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT in applicable state
- Three years' clinical experience in behavioral healthcare
- Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families
- Knowledge in DSM-V diagnoses
- Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment
- Certification as a LCSW, LPC or LMFT in applicable state
- Ability to be a TRICARE certified mental health counselor (TCMHC)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and reliable
- Wednesdays until 7pm
Desired Qualifications
- Certification or documented proficiency in one or more of the following Evidenced Based Practices: Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy
- Experience across a range of modalities beyond individual adult treatment to include child, couples, and family treatment
- Experience working with a military or veteran population to include cultural competence
- Experience treating and diagnosing depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship/family issues, and substance use disorders
