Job Summary
Therapist II responsible for comprehensive psychosocial evaluations and therapy for patients/clients with mental health or substance use concerns; coordinates admission processes (voluntary and emergency detentions), makes referrals to community resources, assigns patients to outpatient/inhospital levels of care, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include conducting individual and group therapy, documentation for medical records, treatment planning, discharge planning, crisis intervention, and advocacy within the community. Requires knowledge of psychopathology, treatment techniques, HIPAA compliance, and commitment to safety and quality improvement in a hospital setting. Preferred Masters degree and current state licensure; minimum two years of supervised clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered license in state of employment as LPC, LMFT, LSW, LISW, LISW-S, LPCC, LPCC-S, LMSW, or LCSW, or state equivalent license
- CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervised clinical experience
