Job Summary
Therapist I provides individual, group and family therapy sessions for clients in an Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization mental health facility. Responsibilities include facilitating group, family and individual therapy; completing psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, discharge plans, and related documentation; collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate client care from admission through discharge; supervising or co-leading groups with clinical interns; and ensuring therapeutic relationships with clients while maintaining boundaries and delivering crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling or psychology
- LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in good standing within the state of CA
- minimum of 2 years’ experience working with clients with a primary mental health diagnosis
- Driver's license and clean driving record
- TB test, criminal background check clearance, and any mandatory state/federal requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
