Job Summary
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for assigned students while assessing cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs to develop therapeutic goals and objectives. Implement therapy plans and activities addressing identified student needs, then collect and record progress data for quarterly reports and IEP documentation. Consult with supervisors and staff on treatment plans, advocate for students regarding transition plans, and implement crisis intervention strategies as needed. Review admissions packets for pre-placement interviews, participate in IEP and staff meetings, and provide training to Grafton staff as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling, social work or psychology
- Clinical experience providing counseling services and therapy
- Licensure as a Resident in Psychology (LCP path), Resident in Counseling (LPC and LMFT path), or Resident in Clinical Social Work (LCSW path) if working in Virginia
- Valid driver's license

- Post-masters but as of yet unlicensed
