Job Summary
Conduct psychosocial assessments, psychotherapy, and diagnostic screenings for individuals with mental illness, behavior problems, or substance misuse across clinic, community, and home settings. Deliver individual, family, group, and psychoeducation therapy using evidence-based interventions while assisting in crisis response, safety planning, and coordination with Adult Crisis Services on a rotating basis. Collaborate with case managers, psychiatrists, schools, courts, and community partners to support continuity of care and develop person-centered treatment plans. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and participate in treatment team meetings and regional on-call rotations. Adhere to ethical standards, state regulations, and agency policies while engaging in required clinical supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family, Psychology or related mental health field from an accredited institution.
- Must be licensed or license-eligible in Kentucky (CSW, LPCA, LPA, MFTA, etc.).
- Must meet requirements for supervised practice and participate in supervision as required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
- Carry no history of malpractice or board sanctions.
- Must pass Criminal Record Check and Sexual Offender Registry Check.
- Ability to work independently regarding scheduling time, organizing workload, completing a variety of task in a timely manner, and functioning with professionals from other disciplines in a cooperative and helpful manner.
- Ability to sit for extended periods during sessions and documentation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and travel between clinic sites or community settings as needed.
- Must adhere to all supervision requirements and operate strictly within defined scope of practice.
- Must participate in regional on-call schedule rotation, if applicable.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with severe mental illnesses, severe emotional disturbances and/or substance use disorders in a psychotherapy setting preferred.
