Job Summary

The Therapist assesses and facilitates care for assigned patients and participates in treatment and continuing care planning. Responsible for case management for all assigned patients. Conducts individual, family, specialized, and group psychotherapy and shares clinical information with the treatment team and other involved entities. Promotes implementation of therapeutic milieu and daily program schedule; provides patient care in a supportive and empathetic manner; provide on-call coverage as requested. Essential duties include assessment, coordination & discharge planning; meeting with patients to orient them to the therapist role and explain goals; coordinating with family and outpatient providers; documenting activities; delivering individual, group and family therapy; seeking clinical supervision; facilitating specialized interventions (e.g., Family, Equine, Art, EMDR, SE); supporting group education; preparing syllabi/lesson plans for didactic groups; participating in program development and performance improvement; acting as an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team; and ensuring adherence to safety and licensure requirements. Education and experience requirements specify a Masters Degree in Behavioral Health, state licensure, CPR & First Aid, CPI, valid driver’s license, and a minimum of two years in behavioral health; preferred experience in trauma, chemical dependency, and eating disorders within managed care.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Behavioral Health
  • State licensed; Psychology doctorate may function as Therapist upon licensure
  • CPR & First Aid Certified
  • CPI Certified
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Driver Safety Training
  • Minimum of two years experience in behavioral health
  • Prefer experience in Trauma, Chemical Dependency, Eating Disorders; Family Therapy; EMDR; sex addiction or other trauma specialty
