Job Summary
The Mental Health Therapist provides direct services to consumers in the Crisis Stabilization Unit according to program requirements, including at least 5 hours/day of face-to-face services, 24-hour on-call crisis intervention, intake evaluations, development and implementation of treatment plans, and ongoing therapy in alignment with clinical standards. The role requires documenting activities per Department of Mental Health standards, maintaining required training and certifications, representing the organization positively, participating in clinical staff and in-service activities, building community relationships with referral sites, and contributing to meetings and continuing education. The position also involves adherence to consumer-focused service delivery, ongoing supervision by the Center Coordinator/Clinical Director, and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Must possess a professional license (LPC, P-LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or LMSW) or be eligible to earn a DMH credential as a Mental Health Therapist, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Therapist, or Addictions Therapist
- Must maintain a valid MS driver’s license
- Must pass a criminal background check
